Introduction
Hi, I'm Lakshita, a student who made a podcast named "Everything I've Never Said" at 15 years old for fun. (there is barely anything on it but I will get better at it I promise.)
A few things about me are- Dead Poet's Society is my favourite movie; I impulsively cut bangs at 15 years old and that has permanently and severely dented my social life; I'm a cat person, infact I'm terrified of dogs so that was never an option; I'm in the process of learning how to cook and people often say if I was a colour I'd be yellow. (highly disagree)
I have loved writing, all my life. The first poem I wrote dates back to when I was 6 years old, which is when I barely could read or write. Writing poems was never a career trajectory for me, but more like a way to deal with all that is asphyxiating and difficult to maneuver. The way I write, the format, the length, the structure changes often- but there is beauty in it. It is elusive and hence accommodative to whatever I feel and want to express through my writing.
The reason this blog is named the same thing as my podcast is mainly because these are both mediums for me to speak, express myself (I have loved doing that for as long as I've lived). Basically these are both just like journals to me. (The second reason is that I'm horrible at naming things- my first cat was named Ginger Chimpy Tenderheart)
But just because this blog and the podcast both are forums for self expression for me, doesn't mean there is nothing different here. You see the pod is its own entity, it now has a more pragmatic direction than I originally imagined, and so the range of topics i wish to talk about on there are more social and less personal. My intentions with this specific blog is to make it raw, and intimate. If 'Everything I've Never Said'- the podcast- is where I talk about what I see; then 'Everything I've Never Said'- the blog- is my attempt to be seen. Here will be things no one has ever seen, or heard me say before.
Hope you enjoy your time here.
Signing off,
Lakshita
